Delhi's audiences were recently witness to a splendid and spectacular performance by the Oscar Jazz band from Moscow at 'Zorba' on M.G. Road. The stirring performance of the Russian music group, which appeared in a variety of genres and diverse styles from the late 50-60s, gave priority to jazz. The vocal items presented included songs in Russian, English, Spanish and French. The audience, thrilled and excited over the rousing presentation, gave a standing ovation and profuse applause in great appreciation to the brilliant performance of the artists.
Both Oscar Jazz and Dolce Vita show-ballet have in their arsenal a large number of musical and thematic programmes. Moulin Rouge style dances in combination with a little witty play where musicians act side by side with the dancers create the atmosphere of old-fashioned charm and nostalgic mood. The artists are the winners and participants of various national and international jazz, pop festivals and competitions, particularly the All-Russian competition of jazz art "New Names", participant of the Moscow International Festival "Jazz at the Hermitage Garden", Jazz Festival "Manor" and "New Wave".
