The 14th annual Indo-Russian summit between Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Russian President Vladimir Putin will be held in Moscow in October this year, a key Indian official said on the condition of anonymity.
Several big ticket bilateral agreements are expected to be signed during this meeting. These would likely pertain to the fields of energy, infrastructure, culture, people-to-people contacts, business and trade, and possibly defence, sources said.
Between the St Petersburg G20 summit and the 14th Indo-Russian summit, there will be another high-level Indo-Russian meeting: the Indo-Russian Inter Governmental Commission- Military Technical Cooperation (IRIGC-MTC), headed by the two defence ministers. The IRIGC-MTC meeting is expected to be held in early October in Moscow, Indian diplomatic sources said.
