Rogozin calls on Khurshid to meet more often

Tuesday, 30 April 2013 05:58

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin asked the head of Indian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Salman Khurshid to increase number of the Russian-Indian contacts at high levels. Such an idea was sounded during the meeting of Russian-Indian intergovernmental committee in Moscow.

The Deputy Prime Minister explained that it is necessary to reflect on a wide range of issues ranging from agriculture to power sector and defense- industrial cooperation. Rogozin added that it is not the correct way of organizing of similar meetings only in the capitals.

The deputy chairman of the Russian government invited the Indian minister to hold the next meeting somewhere else in Russia. As a choice he offered the Far East, the Urals, the cities of Western Siberia, St. Petersburg and Sochi. Khurshid readily accepted Rogozin's proposal.
