A curtain raising event of the festival of Russian culture dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India was held in Russian Centre for Science and Culture, New Delhi.
A gala concert of Russian classical ballet “Gzhel” with the participation of leading soloists and artists from Bolshoi Ballet and Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre was performed at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture, New Delhi.
The artists performed excerpts and variations from world-famous classical ballets like “Nightcracker” by Tchaikovsky, “Gisselle” by A Adan and “Cinderella” Prokofiev.
India and Russia had earlier announced a series of event spanning multiple fields to mark the 70 years of diplomatic ties. The diplomatic ties between the two countries will complete 70 years on April,13, 2017.
The gala concert was attended by Russian Ambassador Alexander Kadakin and Fyodor Rozovsky, Director of the Russian Cultural Centre.
