The Kornet-EM – a multipurpose long-range missile system developed in Tula – was unveiled at the MAKS-2011 air show.
The new system increases firing accuracy five times. It can hit targets at distances between 150 and 10,000 meters with the help of guided laser beams. A missile with a cumulative warhead can pierce armor up to 1,300 mm thick. The designers say the system, which can also attack air targets, can be used to protect troops against drones and attack planes.
