The stylists braided 70 girls’ hair into a 100m plait to mark the birthday of Peter the Great. This unusual flashmob was devoted to the opening of the IV International Festival Beauty Over the Neva.
The event was held in the center of St. Petersburg, not far from Gostinyi dvor (Guest Court) on Nevsky Avenue. Hair stylists from 12 countries offered to braid the hair of any girl or woman who passed by, provided it was long enough. Then all the participants stood in a row, tying their braids together with blue ribbons. The result was a 100m long plait.The IV International Festival Beauty Over the Neva is held from June 9 to June 13 under the motto “Beauty in all its manifestations”. Leading stylists from France, Italy, Great Britain, Israel and other countries participate in it.
