
On March 6-8, 2017, the 19th Asian Security Conference was held in the Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses in New Delhi summarizing approaches of regional countries to combating international terrorism.
Defence Minister of India M.Parrikar, National Security Advisor to the President of Afghanistan M.H.Atmar, Deputy National Security Advisor to the Prime Minister of India A.Gupta, Chief of Cybersecurity, Government of India, G.Rai as well as representatives of diplomatic corps and the Indian and foreign academic circles and mass media participated in the event.
Russia was represented by Dr V.I.Sotnikov, Senior Research Fellow of the Institute of the Eastern Studies, Russian Academy of Sciences, who delivered address on the threat of spreading radical Islamism in Central Asia.
