On August 24, Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov held consultations with First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of India Vijay Keshav Gokhale in Moscow.

The two diplomats discussed aspects of cooperation between Russia and India in the Asia-Pacific Region (APR), as well as the preparations for President Vladimir Putin’s forthcoming visit to India this year.

Both parties were satisfied with the proximity of their approaches to major global and regional problems, including that of the creation of a security architecture and equal cooperation in the APR. They emphasised the two countries’ intention to further coordinate efforts on the international arena, including at such platforms as the SCO and the RIC.
