Days of Russian Culture in India Continue with New Life Brass Band Performance

On November 11, a prestigious Kamani Auditorium in New Delhi saw the second full-house event of the Days of Russian Culture in India – a performance by New Life Brass Band named after Timofey Dokshitzer. 

The concert organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Rosconcert and the Embassy of Russia in India was attended by the representatives of the diplomatic corps, Indian Ministry of External Affairs and other state bodies, political circles, Russia-India friendship societies’ members, compatriots.

The audience was impressed by masterly performance of the world jazz and classical music masterpieces performance, including «Nutcracker» March by P.Tchaikovsky, «Turkish March» by V.Mozart, «Fallen Leaves» by J.Cosma, «Libertango» by A.Piazzolla, «Blue Moon» by R.Rogers. The highlight of the evening was a medley of the soundtracks for L.Gaidai movies.

The event was covered by Russian and Indian information agencies, including TV.

The orchestra’s Indian tour is to be continued: on November 13 the concert will be given in Chennai, on November 15 – in Kolkata.
