The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides continues working on peaceful settlement of the conflict and stabilization of humanitarian situation in the Syrian Arab Republic.

Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, illegal armed formations breaches ceasefire regime in the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama and Daraa.

Measures are being taken to improve humanitarian situation in the capital region and its suburbs.

Engineering units of the Syrian Army continue to clear up the area of the Eastern Qalamoun. Over the last 24 hours, the Syrian engineers have checked six buildings to defuse nine improvised explosive devices in Nassiriya.

Representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides have been monitoring reconstruction process in the settlement of Zamalka. People are now able to buy items of the bare necessities. The provision of medical care to citizens is organized. Restoration of the administration, bakeries, medical centers, schools, post office is underway  . Local authorities jointly with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent organize delivery of drinking water.

Due to improving humanitarian situation, 67,685 people have returned home in the Eastern Ghouta from refugee and IDP camps.

Measures are being taken by Syrian government jointly with the Russian side to stabilize post-conflict situation in the provinces of Hama  and Homs. The Syrian security forces are working to grant amnesty to former members of illegal armed formations who decided to return to peaceful life. Over the past day, about 150 people have passed this procedure under the control of the Russian Centre. 37 small arms have been surrendered. Since May 16, in total, 33,131 people have already passed this procedure. In total, 4,199 small arms have been surrendered.

Road services are reconstructing the Talbiseh – al-Rastan section of the M5 highway in Homs. Along the roadway, a safety fencing and floodlighting tower are installed.

Measures are being taken to improve humanitarian situation in other parts of Syria.

The Russian Centre carried out humanitarian assistance in el-Hussainiya, the province of Deir ez-Zor. People received 450 food sets, medical supplies and the bare necessities. Total weight has reached two tons.

The Russian Centre carried out charitable actions in the Asada Mosque and the Aleppo Zahrat al-Madina School. At the end of the Ramadan fasting day, the Russian servicemen deployed field kitchens to provide people with hot meals.

Russian military medics have provided medical assistance to more than 125 people, including 62 children.

Recovering of social infrastructure and establishment of peaceful life enables people to return back to their homes.

Over the past day, 224 people have returned to Homs province, and 112 people – to the Eastern Ghouta.

Measures taken by Russia, Turkey and Iran stabilize situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone; civilians return back to their homes in Aleppo province. Over the past day, 855 people with private properties have passed through the Tal-Sultan – Abu al-Duhur humanitarian corridor. Since May 31, in total 2,537 people and 467 pieces of equipment have passed through the humanitarian corridor.
