The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides continues working on peaceful settlement of the conflict and stabilizing humanitarian situation in the Syrian Arab Republic.

Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, the Russian-Turkish-Iranian Coordination Centre has registered several cases of ceasefire violation in the provinces of Aleppo, Latakia, Hama, Damascus, and Daraa over the last 24 hours.

On April 19, insurgents active in Muhayam al-Yarmuq carried out mortar shelling against living quarters of al-Tadamon and al-Midan in southern area of Damascus. Three civilians were killed, and 40 ones were injured.

Situation in the Eastern Ghouta is stabilizing. Peaceful life is being recovered.

Living houses and infrastructure objects are being cleared from mines and explosive devices in Douma. Over the last 24 hours, 12 houses and their territories have been cleared. Fourteen explosive devices have been defused.

Roads are being cleared. Electricity and water supply systems are being recovered in the city.

Normalization of situation in other settlements and towns of the Eastern Ghouta is continued.

Due to efforts taken by the Russian Reconciliation Centre and the Syrian government, 61,082 citizens of the Eastern Ghouta have returned to their homes from camps for refugees and temporary displaced persons.

The Russian Reconciliation Centre handed construction supplies to the administration of Dahiyat al-Assad.

Representatives of the Centre explored the most important objects of social infrastructure in the area of Jaubar, which were to be recovered.

Work held by the Russian Centre is aimed at de-escalation of situation in Damascus province.

The Russian Reconciliation Centre jointly with units of the Russian military police held an operation aimed at withdrawal of insurgents and their families from Dumayr.

In total, 389 insurgents and 1,305 members of their families have left the area via a humanitarian corridor organized by the Russian party. All of them were transported by 30 buses escorted by security services of the Syrian Arab Republic to al-Bab, Aleppo province.

Dumayr is controlled by the government of the Syrian Arab Republic.

The Russian Centre for Reconciliation is above all focused on stabilizing the humanitarian situation, providing medical assistance to the people in need and meeting the priority needs of citizens.

The Russian Reconciliation Centre provided humanitarian assistance to citizens of Mazlum, Deir ez-Zor province, and Kumhana, Hama province. The civilians have received 890 sets with food products. Total weight of cargos has reached 3.8 tons.

Citizens of al-Jumiliyah living quarter of Aleppo have received clothes, medical supplies, and bare necessities.

Russian military medics have provided medical assistance to 141 Syrians, including 46 children.

The reconstruction of the destroyed social infrastructure and the establishment of peaceful life in the Syrian provinces enable people to return back to their former homes.

Over the past day, 187 people have returned to Homs province, 546 – to Deir ez-Zor province (Eastern shore of the River Euphrates), and 358 – to the Eastern Ghouta.

The Russian Centre is registering the number of citizens leaving Tell Rifaat de-escalation zone for Membij, Aleppo province. Over the last 24 hours, 477 people have left the area.
