Reconciliation of opposing sides and stabilization of humanitarian situation are the main vectors in political settlement of the crisis in the Syrian Arab Republic.

There are favourable conditions in most areas of the Syrian Arab Republic that enable IDPs to return back to their homes.

Due to taken measures, 74,227 people have returned back to the Eastern Ghouta from refugee and IDPs camps. Over the past day, 117 people have returned back to their former places of residence.

Military medics have provided medical assistance to more than 298 people, including 160 children over the past day.

Representatives of the Russian Centre for Reconciliation carried out four humanitarian actions in the settlements of Kafr Akkar (Aleppo province), Al-Yadudah (Daraa province), Mazlum (Deir ez-Zor province) and Al-Dar al-Kabirah (Homs province) to deliver 2,600 food sets with a total weight of 10.8 tons.

In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 1,883 humanitarian actions. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 2,872.36 tons.

Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone.

Insurgents attacked the following towns over the past day: Hamrat, Latakia province, Zalaqiyat, Hama province, and Handrat and Hamdaniyah districts, Aleppo city. One Syrian soldier was wounded, three people were killed and two civilians were wounded as a result of the shelling.

The Hayyat Tahrir al-Sham (earlier Jabhat al-Nusra), coalition of the Syrian Liberation Front (Jabhat Tahrir Suriya), National Front for Liberation (Jabhat al-Wataniya lil-Tahrir), radical formations Ahrar al-Sham, Ahrar Suriya, Faylaq al-Sham continue forming attack groups in the direction of Hama, Latakia and Aleppo.

The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides urges leaders of illegal armed formations operating  in the Idlib de-escalation zone to cease hostilities and move towards peaceful settlement of the situation in areas they occupy.
