Monday, 25 June 2018 10:52

The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides continues working on peaceful settlement of the conflict and providing comprehensive assistance to Syrian citizens.

Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, the Russian-Iranian-Turkish Joint Coordination Centre has registered several cases of ceasefire violation in the provinces of Latakia and Aleppo.

The Russian Centre continues working in the settlements of Yalda and Beit-Sahm, Damascus province, to assist in granting amnesty to people and restoring infrastructure. Humanitarian situation in the area is still complicated since there are no functioning medical centers and qualified medics. Schools are about to be overhauled with the use of construction material delivered as humanitarian aid. Power supply is provided to residents six hours a day. The Syrian Arab Red Crescent continues delivery of humanitarian relief to the local people.

Over the past day, 190 people have returned to Homs province, and 116 people – to the Eastern Ghouta. Due to improving humanitarian situation, 70, 178 people have returned home in the Eastern Ghouta from refugee and IDP camps.

Despite measures taken by the Centre for Reconciliation, the humanitarian situation in the Southern de-escalation zone is worsening because of terrorists. The leaders of illegal armed groups, who control distribution of the bare necessities in the villages of southwestern Syria, do not provide the population with enough food and medical supplies.

After north of the southwest de-escalation zone was liberated from terrorists, 105 people have made their way back to Daryah-Mays town (al-Suweyda province).

The Russian Centre for Reconciliation carried out a humanitarian action in the settlement of Umm-al-Tiur, Hama province. People received 650 food sets, medical supplies and items of the bare necessities. The total weight of cargo has amounted to approximately three tons.

Military medics have provided medical assistance to more than 315 people, including 158 children over the past day.

Measures taken by Russia, Turkey and Iran stabilize situation in the Idlib de-escalation zone; civilians return back to their homes in Aleppo province. Over the past day, 738 people including 289 children have passed through the Tal-Sultan – Abu al-Duhur humanitarian corridor.  Besides, 238 patients including 120 children were provided with medical care when passing the corridor.
