The Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides continues working on peaceful settlement of the conflict and providing comprehensive assistance to Syrian citizens.

Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, illegal armed formations breach ceasefire regime in the provinces of Aleppo and Latakia.

Measures are being taken by Syrian government jointly with the Russian side to stabilize post-conflict situation in the provinces of Damascus.

The Russian Centre carried out humanitarian action on 12 and 20 June 2018, during which the administration of Yalda and Bayt-Sahm, the province of Damascus, were provided with construction materials for the reconstruction of two schools.

Engineering units of the Syrian Army trained by Russian specialists successfully perform tasks. In Douma and al-Nasriyah, demining activities in accessible areas have been completed.

Recovering of social infrastructure and establishment of peaceful life enables people to return back to their homes in the provinces of Hama and Homs.

The Candle of Memory international action took place on Friendship Square in Aleppo attended by servicemen of the Centre for Reconciliation and the union of students of Aleppo. During the action there were: candles lighting, wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial to the fallen Russian and Syrian soldiers who gave their lives in the fight against international terrorism.

Over the past day, 185 people have returned to Homs province, and 132 people – to the Eastern Ghouta. Due to improving humanitarian situation, 69,847 people have returned home in the Eastern Ghouta from refugee and IDP camps.

The humanitarian situation in the Southern de-escalation zone is worsening because of the actions of terrorists. The leaders of illegal armed groups, who control distribution of the bare necessities in the villages of southwestern Syria, do not provide the population with enough food and medical supplies.

The Russian Centre carried out humanitarian action in Marrat, the province of Deir ez-Zor and Sheikh Ahmad, the province of Aleppo. People received 650 food sets, medical supplies and the bare necessities. Total weight has reached six tons.

Russian military medics have provided medical assistance to more than 275 people, including 123 children.
