On the roundtable in the Embassy on the issues of international information security

On December 14, 2017, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India hosted the roundtable “International Cooperation in Information Space: Threats, Trends and Perspectives”, co-sponsored by the Kaspersky Lab.

H.E. Mr Nikolay Kudashev, Ambassador of Russia to India, Mr Eugene Kaspersky, CEO and Founder of the Kaspersky Lab, and Mr Stephan Neumeier, Managing Director of the Kaspersky Lab in the Asia-Pacific, who is also responsible for the company’s activities in India, addressed the audience. Representatives from the Ministry of the External Affairs, NSCS, business and expert circles, Media representatives participated in the event.

The presentation made by Mr Evgene Kaspersky covered a broad spectrum of issues regarding contemporary threats for information space and capacities to fight them and attracted a substantial interest.

Perspectives of the extension of Kaspersky Lab presence in specific segments of the Indian market were also highlighted.


Different aspects of international cooperation in the field of information security including the necessity to develop under the aegis of the UN norms, rules and principles of responsible conduct of states in information sphere drew considerable attention.
