Indian Movie to open Moscow International Film Festival - 2017

On June 19, 2017, the Embassy hosted a Curtain Raiser Press Conference on "Indian Panorama" - the selection of Indian movies in various Indian languages - to be shown for the first time at the 39th Moscow International Film Festival.

Marking the 70th Adversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India, H.E. Mr Anatoly V. Kargopolov, CdA of the Embassy, Mr R.C. Dalal and Captain Rahul Bali, curators of the "Indian Panorama", and Mr Gulshan Grover, renowed Indian Film Star, jointly held a press conference and answered questions on the forthcoming Indian participation in the festival, which is to be organised on June 22- 29, 2017, in Moscow.

The "Indian Panorama" will feature some of the finest Indian movies such as "Bahubali: The Beginning", "Badman", "A Death in the Gunj", "BeyYaar", "U Turn", "Kothanodi" and "Bahubali 2: The Conclusion". The latter would be the opening film of the 39th Moscow International Film Festival and Gulshan Grover’s "Badman" would be the opening film of the "Indian Panorama".
