Remembering Kaul

Thursday, 21 November 2013 06:27

Not many Indian ambassadors of the past are remembered and their lives celebrated by foreign governments. The Russian embassy has taken the lead in remembering T N Kaul, who served as Indian envoy to Moscow.

Considered close to Indira Gandhi, he had served as foreign secretary and as envoy to the US as well. Apparently, the Russian embassy took the lead about two months ago and asked the Ministry of External Affairs to join hands. After much discussions within South Block, the MEA is now partnering the embassy in celebrating Kaul's life through a photo exhibition.
