 Esteemed Mr Mukherjee,

Esteemed Dr Singh,

Kindly accept sincerest greetings on the occasion of the national day – the Republic Day.

During the years of independent development India has scored impressive achievements. A powerful modern state with rapidly developing economy and mature democratic institutions has been built. Your country’s authority is growing in the international arena.

Our recent meetings in New Delhi have reaffirmed the special and privileged character of Russian-Indian strategic partnership. I am convinced that further broadening of bilateral political dialogue, intensifying of mutually beneficial trade, economic, scientific, technological and humanitarian cooperation as well as constructive interaction in settling the issues of regional and international agenda fully serve the interests of our friendly nations.

From the bottom of my heart I wish you good health, happiness and success in your activities and well-being and prosperity to all citizens of the Republic of India.

Respectfully yours,

V.Putin

President of the Russian Federation

HIS EXCELLENCY

MR PRANAB MUKHERJEE,

PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA

NEW DELHI

HIS EXCELLENCY

DR MANMOHAN SINGH,

PRIME MINISTER OF THE REPUBLIC OF INDIA
