Art Festival to Mark World Children’s Day at RCSC

The Russian Centre of Science and Culture organized the Children’s Art Festival to mark the World Children’s Day in cooperation with Nehru Bal Samiti, D.P.S. Dwarka and the Russian Embassy School at 24, Ferozeshah Road, New Delhi, on November 18, 2011. The school children displayed some paintings and craft works, participated in music and dance items and art contests.

They also took part in some Russian games. The winners received Russian souvenirs.

Over 25 children from Bal Vikas Vidyalaya, Masjid Moth, and Bal Vikas Vidyalaya, Trilokopuri, 20 students from DPS, Dwarka, and 20 students from the Russian Embassy School participated in the Art Festival.

The children belonging to Bal Vikas Vidyalaya, Masjid Moth presented Punjabi group song, those from Bal Vikas Vidyalaya performed Rajasthani group dance. The children from DPS, Dwarka, presented a group song, a patriotic song and did a Bharatnatyam recital. The children from Russian Embassy School faired well in the Autumn-Horovod item to the delight of all.

In all, the cultural programmes presented by school children, both Indian and Russian, made the Art Festival memorable in the sense that they showed their worth in artistic skill, hard work, creativity and imagination, above all a positive attitude in the true spirit of friendship and cooperation.
