Condolences to the President and Prime Minister of India

     Dmitry Medvedev sent his condolences to President of India Pratibha Patil and Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh following an earthquake that claimed victims and caused damage in the northeast of the country.

The President message reads, in part:

“I was deeply saddened to learn of the earthquake that has claimed many lives and caused serious damage in northeast India.

Please pass on my sincere condolences to the victims’ families and my words of sympathy and support to all affected by this natural disaster.”
