Days of Pyatigorsk in Trivandrum in the year 2012

      It has been decided to organize Days of Pyatigorsk in Trivandrum in the year 2012. Decision was taken during the meeting of the Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation and the Director of the Russian Cultural Centre in Trivandrum Ratheesh Nair  with the Mayor of Pyatigorsk Mr.Lev N. Travnev and the Chairperson of the Gos duma of the city Mr.Ludmila Pokhliko. Mr.Nair was in Pyatigorsk by the invitation from the Mayor to take part in the Days of Pyatigorsk festival. The initiative for the co-operation was taken by the Ambassador of Russia to India Mr.Alexander Kadakin.

Russian Cultural Centre in Trivandrum will organize a three day Pyatigorsk Festival that will comprise Cultural performance, Exhibition of paintings by the artist from PYATIGORSK, discussions between the businessmen from Kerala and Pyatigorsk, seminars etc.

Mr.Ratheesh Nair conveyed the message to Mr.Lev Travnev from Mr.Tony Chammany, the Mayor of Kochi . The Mayor of Kochi expressed gratitude for the invitation to visit Pyatigorsk and promised to do the needful in establishing Twin city relationship with Pyatigorsk.

Mr.Nair also held discussion with the First Deputy Governor of the Stavrapol region Mr. Nikolai Paltsev.

He also visited the State Pedagogical University.
