"N.K.Roerich and Mongolia" art exhibition

       An art exhibition by the legendary Nicholas Roerich titled "N.K.Roerich and Mongolia" is being held between August 8 and September 15 at the Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum for the special occasions of 100th anniversary of Mongolian Independence, the 10th congress of International Mongolists and 85th anniversary of Roerich Central-Asian expedition first arrival in Mongolia.

And it is the joint project by the International Association for Mongolian Studies, the Fine Arts Zanabazar Museum and International Centre of the Roerichs, Moscow, Russian Federation. Organizing Roerich original paintings exhibition for the first time in Ulaanbaatar gives a great significance to the strengthening the friendship between Russia and Mongolia.

Roerich’s 59 paintings that had been painted between 1925 and 1947, and the portrait painted by his son Svetoslav Roerich during 1930s are displayed in the exhibition.
