on the meeting with young leaders of India in the Embassy

On August 30, 2018, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in New Delhi hosted a meeting of Russian diplomats with the representatives of Indian youth movements, public and political activists.

Russian Ambassador H.E. Mr Nikolay Kudashev welcomed the participants and stressed the crucial role of contacts between young generations of Russians and Indians in strengthening bilateral relations. The envoy highly praised the current level of cooperation between Russia and India on the threshold of the regular state visit to India by President of the Russian Federation H.E. Mr Vladimir Putin.

Embassy officials made brief reports on the history of Indo-Russian ties from the ancient times to modern days, on the foundations of the Constitution and electoral system of Russia, on the collaboration between Moscow and New Delhi in science and culture, as well as in information and communication technologies. 

The formal part of the evening was closed with the ceremonial dinner at the White Hall of the Embassy, where our Indian guest were treated to some traditional Russian cuisine. 

After the closing of the Meeting, Ms Charu Pragya, the National Head of the Youth Legal Cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party, as well as other Indian guests conveyed through personal Twitter and Instagram accounts their gratitude to the Russian Ambassador for his hospitality and stressed the important contribution of the event to the enhancement of the mutual understanding between two countries.
