Briefing by Russian Centre for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria (July 26, 2018)

The Russian side jointly with the Syrian government continue implementation of post-conflict measures in the Syrian provinces.

There are favourable conditions in most areas of the Syrian Arab Republic that enable people to return back to their homes.

Due to taken measures, 73,433 people have returned back to the Eastern Ghouta from refugee and IDPs camps. Over the past day, 108 people have returned back to their former places of residence.

People in Douma, Eastern Ghouta, received 44 tons of humanitarian cargo sent by France in accordance with decision taken on May 24 by Russia and France in St. Petersburg on joint project for humanitarian assistance to Syria.

The An-124 Ruslan airplan delivered the humanitarian relief from France to Syria.

It contains 530 boxes of medication, 500 sets of kitchen utensils, 3,800 blankets, 465 tents and equipment for a mobile hospital to arrange urgent surgeries.

The SARC personnel delivered the humanitarian relief escorted by Russian military police to the people.

In total, since the Russian Centre for Reconciliation started settlement process, it carried out 1,873 humanitarian action. The total weight of humanitarian cargo delivered amounts to 2,813.46

Military medics have provided medical assistance to more than 178 people, including 76 children over the past day.

In Southwest de-escalation zone, government forces obtained one MLRS, one infantry fighting vehicle, one combat reconnaissance airborne vehicle, an anti-aircraft self-propelled mount and a lot of ammo of various types and calibres.

Despite the ceasefire regime being established throughout the country, there are still cases of ceasefire regime violation by illegal armed formations in the Idlib de-escalation zone. Over the past day,  they attacked Jubb al-Zaur, Safsafa, Kinsabba, Barisha, Saraf and Qabuh, Latakia province, and Abtin and Handrat districts of Aleppo city.
